We Can all agree that setting a goal is the first step to achieving anything substantial in life; if you know where you are going, the probability of getting there is a lot higher.
As a Diabetic, you need to meet a list of goals to cope with the hurdles that come with it. This is especially true in the long run, as diabetes is a progressive disease. The earlier and more successful you hit those goals, the better off you will be.
This Article aims to illuminate a more efficient way of achieving your goals. It will change your whole perspective on what you have been doing, as most people have considered it wrong. Individuals who look at it with this perspective say they have achieved their goals 99% of the time. After reading this, you, too, will find it easier to accomplish your goal.
We've all been there, setting goals like we're writing a Santa list, but somehow, they often slip through our fingers like sand at the beach. And let's be honest, even if we achieve them, it's like scraping through the finish line with one last breath.
But Guess What? We've been going about it all wrong.
Let me take you through my journey. I used to set goals left, right, and center: how much weight I needed to lose, How many glasses of water I needed to drink, what healthy food I needed to cook and eat, how I could move my body more, and on and on.
How many of those goals did I achieve? Maybe 1%, and it was short-lived
But All that changed when I learned what I was about to tell you.
I carried out all of my goals effortlessly, and when I shared this with others, they could do the same.
I learned the differences between my Systems and Goals
I learned how to fine tune my systems so achieving my goals are inevitable

If you’re a coach, your GOAL might be to win a championship. Your SYSTEM is how you recruit players, manage your assistant coaches, and conduct practice.
If you’re a musician, your GOAL might be to play a new piece. Your SYSTeM is how often you practice, how you break down and tackle complex measures, and your method for receiving feedback from your instructor.
Goals are about the results you want to achieve. Systems are about the processes that lead to those results.
If your Goal is to keep your blood sugar levels in check, your System is what you eat, how active you are, and what time you sleep, etc,
You can set your goals to cope with your health, but the systems determine the probability of that goal coming through
Winners and losers often have the same goal.
Every Olympian wants that shiny gold medal and every job applicant dreams of landing that gig.
But what sets them apart?
You guessed it – it's the systems they've got humming in the background.

But fear not—you've got the power to tweak and tune that system until it's a well-oiled machine, chugging along toward victory.
So, let's flip the script here. Instead of obsessing over the endgame, let's focus on building killer systems with diabetes running for the hills.
If your goal is to keep that blood sugar in check, lower that A1c, or whatever else, it's time to roll up those sleeves and get systematic.
